No. Gas springs have their life and are exchanged for new ones after their wear. The reusage of springs would be very complicated and economically disadvantageous.
Gas springs made by us can be re-pressurized to a higher pressure, if they are not used or used only very briefly. Re-pressurizing is not possible in the case of worn springs ready for a replacement.
However, pressure cannot be reduced in a standard gas spring. A standard gas spring has a non-return valve, which does not allow the release of nitrogen from the gas spring. Reduction of pressure in the gas springs is possible only if it’s a gas spring with valve supplied by us (we will be happy to provide more information on this type of springs in person, by phone or email).
We also produce atypical dimensions of gas springs, which, of course, is reflected in the delivery date and the price of gas springs. The fact whether it is possible to produce the atypical dimension is subject to consultation with setro s.r.o.
The pressure a gas spring can “withstand” depends on the diameter of the piston and stroke length of the gas spring type. All pressure ranges for which standard gas springs can be pressurized are listed in our catalog for each type of gas spring. The minimum and maximum possible pressure for special designed gas springs must be consulted with setro s.r.o.
Of course, we also offer this service for free to satisfy our customers and to minimize the number of incorrect installations of our springs as much as possible. So if a customer is not sure what type of gas spring should be used, what pressure the spring should have for its application, or where to place the mounting points, we are happy to advise you this manner and send you a simple assembly drawing.
This service is not offered. Springs come with a simple, straightforward assembly drawing, according to which installation is hassle-free. We’re able to help you with the assembly only at the headquarters of our company, provided the customer has their application already adapted for the use of gas springs.
Thanks to large stock supplies we supply gas springs in the Slovak Republic within 24 hours and in the Czech Republic within 48 hours (for date of delivery to other countries, please contact us and we can provide fast and reliable delivery). Larger delivered quantities (500+) are, of course, supplied separately. The delivery and shipping costs in this case are also specified during order.
The piston rod is treated by QPQ liquid nitriding and the pressure part is painted using black epoxy paint. In the stainless steel design, the entire spring is made of AISI 316 stainless steel.
Gas springs are pressurized using technical nitrogen.
Important parameters are: the stroke of the gas spring in millimeters, thickness of the piston rod in millimeters, gas spring pressure in Newtons, the total length of the gas spring in millimeters, the end of gas spring – either welded mesh or threads. If the spring has threads at the ends, the customer can select from a broad range of ends. All these parameters can be found displayed in our catalog and on our website setro.sk
No, we don’t even recommend peripheral surfacing or surfacing through an opening. The surfacing of zinc alloy is very problematic. Only steel hinges are suitable for standard surfacing, and we will recommend them based on your inquiry.
EPDM material is characterized mainly by the fact that it does not have a “memory”. If, say, the edge of a switchboard door that has been closed for a longer period of time presses on the EPDM gasket, the door edge will be imprinted into the gasket, the resulting groove deepening with time, until it eventually leads to door looseness and reduced IP enclosure of the product. On the other hand, for a neoprene gasket it is characteristic that after opening the door, the gasket regains its original shape and the formation of a groove is significantly reduced.
Begin to stick or ram the gasket (based on the type of the selected gasket) in the lower
half of the frame and proceed gradually all around the perimeter until you get to the point of the joint at the bottom edge of the frame. Recommendation: when closing the joint between the two ends of the gasket, it is advantageous to cut both ends of the gasket at a 45° angle with a small overlap, thus ensuring optimum sealing without adhesion.
Label 1333 on the key indicates a universally used key profile (all supplied locks have the same key), which customers use for closing doors with no special security requirements. Anyone can order key 1333 as a separate type of goods; therefore we don’t check for what purpose the key will be used. It may therefore happen that an unauthorized person can order the mentioned key 1333 and try to get into, for example, the switchboard, because they know that this key is the most widely used. It is, therefore, better for use outdoors, or to order keys with other numbers than 1,333 for uncontrolled rooms.
DIRAK handles are also suitable for outdoors. They are made from tempered durable polyamide and are not subject to “aging” in the sun.
No. We do not shorten piano hinges, drill and otherwise alter them. We sell them at the lengths mentioned in our PINET catalog. In most cases the length is 2,040 mm.
Electronic locks have a very wide range of uses. They are installed in places such as corporate offices and workstations, employee lockers, security lockers, parcel lockers, rental lockers, university and school lockers, hospital lockers, hotel resorts and spas, sports and gyms.
Electronic locks can be locked manually based on a PIN code or using a chip that can be placed in a card, bracelet or key holder. We also unlock some types of electronic locks with a mobile device or tablet via NFC or BLUETOOTH technology (however, the mobile device must have the necessary application installed and have the necessary permissions).
